Mayor Bowser’s education budget provides a strong start to funding DC schools. But to ensure DC students who need the most support thrive at school and in life, we must ensure that education funding is equitable.
Recent studies show that students who are considered “at-risk of academic failure” have experienced greater negative academic, social, and emotional impacts from the pandemic. To recover, DC students need critical resources now and in the years ahead.
Now is the time for Council to provide these resources for students. Use the form to the right to urge your councilmembers to increase funding for students considered “at-risk” and to continuously support DC’s students.
